Biography

Rukaiya Shikdar Rimu is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Fashion Design & Technology at Sonargaon University (SU). She joined the faculty in 26 June, 2026. She earned her B.Sc. in Fashion Design & Technology from Sonargaon University. Prior to joining academia, she gained professional experience in the readymade garments industry, working in fashion design,with export-oriented apparel manufacturing companies. Her teaching areas include Pattern Making, Product Development, Surface Design, Fashion History, and basic science courses for fashion students. Her research and academic interests focus on pattern engineering, children's wear design, apparel product development, sustainable fashion, and digital fashion technologies. She is committed to bridging industry practices with academic learning to prepare students for the evolving global fashion and apparel industry.
