Md. Ahshan Habib

Biography

Mr. Md. Ahshan Habib is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT) at Sonargaon University (SU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He joined Sonargaon University in 2014 and has since served as the Head of the Department. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Fashion Design and Technology (FDT) from the BGMEA Institute of Fashion and Technology (BIFT; now BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology-BUFT), an MBA in Apparel Merchandising from the National University, Bangladesh, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Dhaka Law College. He also completed a M.Sc. in International Business Management from the University of Gloucestershire, UK, a Postgraduate Management Executive Certificate from NCFE, UK, and a professional Fashion Design course at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (UAL). With over 22 years of combined academic and industry experience, his research interests include digital fashion design, 3D virtual prototyping, apparel product development, sustainable fashion, fashion merchandising, and textile innovation. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals, with a particular focus on digital fashion technologies, sustainable apparel, and the ready-made garment (RMG) industry.
