Biography

Bashir Ahmed is an Academic and Researcher in the Department of Apparel Manufacture & Technology (AMT), currently assigned to the Department of Fashion Design & Technology (FDT) at Sonargaon University, Dhaka, specializing in digital fashion transformation and sustainable material innovations. He holds a B.Sc. in Apparel Manufacture & Technology, a PGD in Fashion Design & Product Development, and an MBA in Apparel Merchandising. With a dedicated teaching and training career starting in 2016—including academic leadership as a former Assistant Professor and Department Head—he is a certified Level-4 Trainer & Assessor under the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), Prime Minister's Office, and a designated national Master Trainer by the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh. His research focuses on the intersection of emerging technologies and circular fashion, with specific emphasis on AI integration in fashion design, Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D algorithmic design, smart wearable technology, and sustainable natural fiber applications. Mr. Ahmed actively contributes to peer-reviewed international journals, advancing data-driven design methodologies and next-generation textile solutions.
